Mind the meter

Your resource this time is a contest where you can win entry to the Gotham Writers’ Workshop in person or on line.  Check it out at http://www3.timeoutny.com/newyork/static_content/getthis/index.php (you have to scroll down a little).

I’ve put the introductory episode of nanobites up.

I have some bad limericks on my blog.

Registration is now open for the Catholic Writers’ Conference.

In this episode I talk about using various types of poetic meter for prose, and how they affect the speed of your story.

Your prompt is to take a line or two of action and rewrite it in iambic (unstressed-stressed) form, then take a tense line or two and rewrite it in first epitrite form (unstressed-stressed-stressed-stressed).
